My Review
Rating: 10/10
This is hands down the best book I have ever read that discusses specific issues about being a man.
Stu Weber dives into the complex issue of how a man can and should be a tough warrior ready for battle and yet be gentle, tender and caring for his wife. He discusses what it means to be a father, a leader of those to whom he is entrusted. He also spends time explaining how man was not created to be a lone warrior.
A man has a purpose, someone(s) and something to give his all for, to die for if necessary. He also needs someone to “die with”, buddies that will be there when the going gets rough to encourage him to fight the good fight. All men have those times when we just can’t go on alone. True manhood is found on a brotherhood or men.
He reminds us that all men were created for a purpose and men to often get entangled in snares of false purposes, careers, retirement, etc.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and have taken away many insights that will be particulary useful in my marriage. I am also using the book for a men’s study that I am beginning.
