I purchased this book as text for an English course. We never got to the book in the course but I thought it would make interesting reading anyway.
The book was pretty good as a documentary goes, but it did seem to wander. I’m not sure if the viewpoint of the author was anti-nuke, anit-war or just wanted to raise the simpathy level for the Hiroshima/Nagasaki survivors. I feel there was a point that was attempted to be made but I missed it. It was obviously more than a simple factual documentary.
I must say that it was interesting and I liked the format (mini-biographies) in following the survivors he chose.
